  • Soothing CD

Step1
Unplug the phone.
Step2
Lock the door to prevent intruders like kids and spouses.
Step3
Stop the drain in the tub.
Step4
Light aromatherapy candles. Choose lavender to relieve stress and sandalwood to relax.
Step5
Turn on the water and adjust the temperature to your liking.
Step6
Pour a small amount of bubble bath ' or the amount recommended on the bottle label - into the running water.
Step7
Allow the bathtub to fill with water and suds. If you are not satisfied with the amount of suds in the water, add more bubble bath into the running water.
Step8

Step9
Slowly enter the bath water, feet first.
Step10
Breathe deeply and relax.

  • Don't forget your rubber ducky or other bath toys.
  • If you are pregnant or have dry skin, opt for warm water as opposed to hot.
  • Keep in mind that ingredients in some bubble baths can be drying to the skin ' choose a product with moisturizers such as aloe or vitamin E.

on 8/8/2006 Try adding baby oil or baby skin wash to the running water instead. You don't get the fun of bubbles, but you definitely feel the difference in your skin afterward.

on 8/8/2006 If you have a new tattoo don't take a bubble bath! It's bad to soak it in water because of bacteria. If you're going to take one anyway, don't add bath salt!

on 8/8/2006 While the hot water is running into the tub, pour Herbal Essences shampoo through the stream of water coming from the faucet. Not only does your bath have the scent of roses, it also has bubbles galore! This tip works like a charm.

on 8/8/2006 Get something to read before you get in the bathtub. This way you won't have to get dressed or wrap a towel around yourself and go tramping around the house looking for something to read. Paperbacks and magazines are a good idea because they are lightweight.
